Andrea Buxton's role at Mila Maintenance

As Senior Office Administrator I have a wide range of tasks to perform each day which I can certainly say keeps me busy.

As well as answering the telephone, liaising with residents, contractors and service engineers I have responsibility for the planning board, scheduling orders for completion by our service engineers and confirming appointments with the residents in whose homes we work.

I input orders for Planned and Reactive Maintenance contracts and see this process through by liaising with all stakeholders inside and outside the company to ensure that all materials and all paperwork are in place to ensure the job is completed within the agreed timescales.

The administration office is a really busy place and the biggest challenge we face is ensuring that residents are available for us to work in their homes at the appointed time.  But this is also the most rewarding part of the job as well, dealing with the general public and knowing that we are going to help them to feel safe, secure and warm in their homes by completing required maintenance.  We get really good resident feedback and that makes all the effort well worthwhile.
