Mila Maintenance and Installation has carried out new Fire Door Installations to Dorney Tower on the Chalcots Estate in the London Borough of Camden.
The block, built in the late 1960s along with so many others as a part of a UK wide plan to construct high rise living accommodation to address housing shortages has 23 floors. The works to install new FD 60 residential fire doors into each flat and new FD60 communal access doors on each floor was completed on time and to the satisfaction of contracting agent Mulalley and the client.
Commenting on the programme, Installation Operations Manager Dean Bradford spoke about the liaison between all parties in the supply chain and working with the residents on site “In this kind of accommodation, and especially where there had been some concerns about the overall safety of the blocks, ensuring that we worked closely with the resident groups was key. Equally important was ensuring that the supply chain was robust and fully geared up to meet this challenging contract”.
“I am delighted that everything went to plan and that we were able to complete the job on time and to the full satisfaction of the residents, the contracting agent and the client. It is another great example of what we are capable of, and in line with our company ethos of keeping people safe and secure in their homes”.
