Whilst we were able to carry out the replacement glazing to the school building during a mid- term break, we nevertheless had to liaise closely with the head as the site hosts a range of non-educational events such as after school club and community based activities. Close co-ordination with the specialist installation team and the school as well as other local stakeholders was essential to ensure there were no health and safety concerns on the site and no potential danger to anybody using the facility whilst the works were carried out.
We were asked to visit the dual-purpose development in Dalston, London where the Holy Trinity School sits below a residential living development of 101 single, double and three bedroom flats.
We had worked for the same client previously on Roosevelt Tower on the edge of the City, replacing high level glazing and overhauling window mechanisms, and we were approached as a framework partner to complete similar works at the Trinity School development.
In both the schools building and at high levels in the residential areas there was glazing and spandrel panels that needed replacing.
